Everybody at Nottingham Rugby is saddened to hear of the passing away of Jeffrey Addison. Jeffrey was a tremendous servant and ambassador for the game in Nottingham and played for the Archers from 1951-1965. Prior to that he played for Nottingham University 1958-1961 and also played for the Barbarians. After hanging up his boots, he worked tirelessly as an administrator, serving as the Hon Secretary 1971-1980 and Representative on the RFU Council 1977-1998 for Nottingham, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire (NLD). His work culminated in him becoming President of NLD in 1985-1986 before his RFU Presidency in 1999-2000.

Jeffrey’s funeral will be at Wilford Hill Crematorium, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7FE on Tuesday 18 March at 11am.
