Sam Williams has been named as part of a 32-player training squad to begin preparations for the Under 20 Six Nations, which begins on Thursday 30 January 2025.

The flanker’s call-up follows his impressive RFU Championship form for Nottingham, and impressing in his Leicester Tigers debut in the Premiership Cup.

Nottingham Head Coach, Craig Hammond, quoted “Sam is an exceptional talent. He’s doing things that people his age shouldn’t be able to do, he has really impressed everyone here at Nottingham.”

“Not only is he a quality rugby player, he is an outstanding young man and he fully deserves this opportunity.”

NTU Head Coach, Dave Ross, added “Once again the importance of the University pathway is highlighted.”

“He was seriously impressive for us last season, and has continued to impress for Nottingham this season. He deserves this call up.”
