4 NTU students have been named in the Nottingham Rugby squad for their upcoming pre-season friendly at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Friday 30th August!
Congratulations to Eddie Bryan, Hobie Riches, Jai Johal and Aman Johal on earning their places having trained all season with the RFU Championship side. Their call ups once again demonstrates the strength of the partnership between Nottingham Trent University and Nottingham Rugby.
The importance of the University pathway cannot be overstated, with a further 4 former NTU students being named in the squad alongside current NTU student, Jay Ecclesfield.
NTU Rugby Union Head Coach, and Nottingham Rugby backs coach, stated “all the lads called up for Friday have earned their spot. They have worked extremely hard throughout pre-season and it will be a real privilege to see them to see them in the Nottingham colours.”
Nottingham Rugby Head Coach, Craig Hammond, added “the relationship we have with Nottingham Trent University is extremely important to us, as you can see by the number of players we have that are, or were, students at the University.”
