NOTTINGHAM signed hooker Scott Wright until the end of
the 2012/13 RFU Championship season.
The 23-year-old former Sedgley Park
forward was ushered into the Green and Whites' 22-man
squad for the week four trip to Goldington Road to
face Bedford.
Head coach Martin Haag was pleased to add Wright to the squad
after he impressed throughout pre-season and continued to make a
compelling case for selection in the opening stage of the league
campaign.
"Scott has worked really hard over the summer, played a couple
of games in pre-season and showed that he is constantly developing
and building his fitness," Haag said.
"He's got a good attitude, and as he progresses he is creating
plenty of competition for others around him. He has his opportunity
to step up now.
"What you want to add to your squad are skilful players, guys
who want to be at the top of their game, but also guys with
character. And Scott is someone with character who fits right
in."
Wright, who spent his teenager years with Worcester before
leaving the professional game to work full-time, is determined to
make the most of the opportunity.
"I'm delighted to join Nottingham, to be playing at such a high
level again and he involved in a club that is clearly going
somewhere," Wright said.
