The 23-year-old's 2012/13 season has been upset by injury.
The back rower went under the knife to address a cartilage tear
in mid-October, and will be out for up to four months. He is
expected to recover in time to play some part in the Green and
Whites' 2012/13 RFU Championship campaign.
Club doctors decided that surgery was required after Eggleshaw
aggravated the injury in pre-season, having monitored the problem
for most of last season.
Eggleshaw hasn't featured in a competitive match this term, last
taking the field for the Green and Whites in their final pre-season
fixture against Premiership neighbours Leicester.
Eggleshaw is a Nottingham-born, Green and Whites-raised
talent with exciting potential.
His talents were obvious from a young age, starring for local
side Paviors before joining the ranks of the RFU Championship
side.
Eggleshaw was a leading light for Nottingham's quarter final run
in the British and Irish Cup, but failed to cement a regular spot
in the first team in 2011/12.
