Walker comes to Nottingham with a wealth of experience having
signed full time with Edinburgh Rugby back in 2010 and last season
was involved in the Scotland international setup, gaining his first
Scotland A cap against England Saxons. Speaking about the
international experience, the sports science and psychology
graduate from Heriot-Watt University said "it was exciting and was
great to be involved. The game is played at a much higher tempo, so
it's tough to play in but I loved it."
This isn't however Walker's first experience of Nottingham
Rugby. He played for Melrose against the Green and Whites in the
British and Irish cup last season. Speaking about the switch to
Nottingham, Walker said "I've lived in Scotland all my life, so by
moving to nottingham there will certainly be things I miss,
especially the misses and my two dogs. But she understands that
this is a great opportunity for my rugby career. There a good bunch
of boys and I'm enjoying playing here. The boys are working hard to
correct what we can on the training field and I'm looking forward
to the rest of the season."
