NOTTINGHAM Rugby can confirm that a pitch inspection will be conducted by an RFU panel referee at 3pm on Friday, January 18 ahead of Saturday's British and Irish Cup clash with Llandovery at Meadow Lane Stadium (8pm kick-off).

The ground staff prepared for the cold snap and snowfall that hit the city this week by putting the frost covers on the pitch last week.

If a decision is reached about the game after the 3pm inspection, a statement will promptly be released by the club.

If a second inspection is needed, it will take place on Saturday morning.
