NOTTINGAHM will play Newcastle in the
quarter-finals of the British and Irish Cup on Friday 5 April at
Kingston Park (kick-off 8pm).
Martin Haag's men topped Pool 8 of the cross-border
competition with victory over Welsh Principlaity Premiership side
Llandovery on Sunday to book their place in the last eight.
Not only did Nottingham bounce back to score the much needed
bunous-point 31-15 win over the Drovers, the victory at Meadow Lane
completed a stunning turn around for the East
Midlands club in 32-team competition.
After losing the opening two group games, Nottingahm
went on a four-match winning streak
to secure passage the knock-out round.
Championship front-runners finished top of pool four in the
previous round, qualifiying with a faultless record after
beating Connacht, Newport and Cross Keys.
Before the travelling to the North East for the second time this
season, Nottingahm will host Newcastle at Meadow Lane Stadium on
March 22 (7.45pm kick-off).
