Nottingham Rugby's Backs Coach, Ben Johnston, will be
spending the weekend of the 22nd - 24th August cycling in the
Gavin2Stacey Cycle Ride for Macmillan Cancer
The 250 mile charity cycle ride starts at Billericay (Essex) and
finishes in Barry (South Wales), where the challenge has become
aptly know as the Gavin2Stacey ride.
It's creation lies in a true Romeo and Juliet story, when Lisa,
from just outside Cardiff and Paul, from Essex, met and fell in
love. They married in 2013 where this challenge came to life.
Unfortunately, in 2003 Paul's father passed away to cancer with
this year being the eleventh anniversary of his death. Through
organising this unique challenge, Paul and Lisa hope to celebrate
his life whilst also helping raise vital funds for several
charities across the UK.
Johnno is a close family friend of Lisa and Paul, and was best
man at their wedding, making this an extremely personal challenge
for him. Johnno's selected charity is Macmillan Cancer
Support who work towards improving the lives of people affected by
cancer by providing practical, medical, emotional and financial
support, in addition to pushing for better cancer
If you're able to support Johnno's fundraising efforts, please
