Now having joined the Green and Whites of Nottingham after two years in Ireland, Jarvis is enjoying getting stuck into the rugby side of things after a gruelling first few weeks of preseason under the guidance of strength and conditioning coach, Jo Brun. Speaking about pre-season Jarvis said, "It's been tough and it's different to what I've done at other clubs but it's a good change. I was getting a bit of heat off Brun at the start but now I feel the fittest I've ever been."

Speaking about how he's settled into life as a Green and White, Jarvis said, "I've settled in quickly to the squad and that's been easy because they're a good bunch of lads. Team spirit is high, which I feel is important and I'm enjoying the training and looking forward to the season starting."

You can see Matthew make his first appearance for the Green and Whites in the pre season friendly against London Irish next Friday night. KO is 19:45.
