Nottingham Rugby fly-half Matthew Jarvis has added his
professional expertise to the award nominated Nottingham Rugby
Community Programme that delivers coaching sessions in the local
In the last week, the Green and Whites' goal kicker, who scored
all of Nottingham's points in their last home game when they beat
London Scottish 15-3, visited Southwark Primary School.
Jarvis joined in the rugby session, led by Nottingham Rugby
Community Coach Sam Bignall, and was impressed by the Southwark
pupils' enthusiasm for the game.
He commented, "It was great to come out to Southwark Primary.
The kids were really enthusiastic about rugby. They really seemed
to enjoy themselves and it was great to see them gaining some team
working skills, which are so valuable in rugby."
Nottingham Rugby's next home game is on Sunday 16th
February at Meadow Lane when promotion chasing Bristol come to town
and the Community Department are holding a celebration of the
success of the community programme.
Affiliate schools will be granted special offers for the game
which will give the school children the chance to see the
Nottingham Rugby stars that have coached them in action on the
Meadow Lane pitch.
