Freeman Still in a Good Mood

Nottingham Rugby's most recent addition, Toby Freeman, goes head to head with his old team mates on Sunday as Rotherham Titans arrive at Meadow Lane.

Good Mood Freeman

The uncompromising second rower joined the Green and Whites in January and has made a huge impact in his short time at the club.

Looking ahead to the game, Freeman said, "I'm looking forward to the match on Sunday as much as I would any other game of rugby, and that's how I'm viewing it.  There's obviously a bit more riding on it for me personally, but I won't let that get in the way of my preparation and I hope to perform as I would in any other game.

"When you come up against friends, you always go in a little harder as you want to get one up on them.  I fully imagine that the Rotherham players that I know well will be gunning for me too and I'm looking forward to it.

"We have a good chance this weekend.  Our last outing against Plymouth was the first time since I've been here that we haven't really performed as a group.  But if we perform like we have been over the last 4-5 weeks then there's no reason that we couldn't cause an upset."

Freeman has settled quickly at Nottingham and has become a firm fan's favourite and a popular figure in the dressing room.

Freeman continued, "It's a good craic down here at Nottingham.  I'm enjoying playing rugby, the boys are a really good bunch and we're playing some nice stuff.  So, I'm still in a good mood!"
