Nottingham Rugby's first team players have taken to
the phones in the Meadow Lane office to give a personal call to all
of the club's season ticket holders.
The players, who are in full pre-season training mode, all
jumped at the chance to put their best phone voices on and thank
the fans who helped cheer them on to success last season.
Captain Brent Wilson said, "It was a pleasure to chat with our
season ticket holders and thank them for their support. It was also
encouraging to hear that they were excited about the season
approaching and keen to know about the changes to the squad and how
pre-season was going."
Nottingham were one of only two Championship clubs to see an
increase in attendances during the 2012/13 season as the supporters
bought in to the exciting brand of rugby that Martin Haag has been
encouraging his team to play.
Wilson continued, "It makes a huge difference to the boys when
the crowd create atmospheres like they did last year. It
gives us a real edge on the pitch and helped to make Meadow Lane a
fortress. We all hope that we'll get the same amazing support
this season and we're sure we will."
